BUSINESS PARTNER PILS 5.8% ABV, IBU-Not Available – NZ hops in this one, with a citrusy edge, light nose and light straw in color, crisp, well balanced, bright and a nice pilsner. 4 STARS
WEE WOBBLY SCOTTISH 7.2% ABV, IBU-Not Available – Dark Amber color, burnt caramel nose, malty and rich, maybe a bit overmalted, bitterness at the edges of the tongue. 2 STARS
SHRUNKEN HEAD SKULL MIND IPA 6.2% ABV, IBU-Not Available – Rich, cloudy, full-bodied IPA without over-the-top hop bitterness, a terrific IPA I could drink every day. 5 STARS
THE KIDD ENGLISH PALE ALE 6.1% ABV, IBU-Not Available – Bright amber in color, complex in flavor, there is a lot going on here, dry finishing notes without being overly bitter. 2 STARS
THE FOOD: 3 STARS
Classic pub fare- we had the Bavarian Pretzel, a Flatbread pizza and a Pub Burger. Well made dishes, attentive staff so no complaints here but the beer is the star of the show here for sure.
THE MOOD: 2 STARS
Subdued on a rainy February day, but a good sized crowd for a Sunday afternoon. Staff were helpful but I got the impression they didn’t know much about the beer. The response to each question about the beer was basically, “I don’t know and the brewer isn’t here right now.”
